Het nieuwe onderzoek \u201cVirtual Reality for enhanced Visual Rehabilitation\u201d (VR4eVR, spreek uit \u2018VR forever\u2019) zal uitzoeken hoe virtual reality thuisrevalidatie mogelijk kan maken.<\/a>\u00a0Dit project heeft recent een subisidie ontvangen van de Nederlandse Organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek (NWO). Het project is een samenwerking tussen het UMCG, Koninklijke Visio, de RUG, de UU, TU, en een groot aantal adviseurs en andere samenwerkingspartners. Vanuit de Visio Foundation is een extra subsidie ontvangen om dit project mogelijk te maken. Visual rehabilitation for hemianopia, which may be necessary after a stroke, can take a long time. Wouldn\u2019t it be very useful if one could do this in the comfort of one\u2019s own home? The answer is obviously \u2018yes\u2019, but how to do this effectively is not yet clear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The new research project \u201cVirtual Reality for enhanced Visual Rehabilitation\u201d (VR4eVR: say \u2018VR forever\u2019) aims at finding out how virtual reality may help with this.<\/a> It was recently awarded a grant by the Dutch Research Council (NWO). The project will be a collaboration between the UMCG, Royal Visio, the RUG, the UU, the UT and a large number of additional collaborators. Besides NWO, also the Visio Foundation contributes substantially towards this project.
